• The U.S. bishops have called for a Fortnight for Freedom, a two-week period of prayer and action, to address many current challenges to religious liberty, including the August 1, 2013 deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS mandate, Supreme Court rulings that could attempt to redefine marriage in June, and religious liberty concerns in areas such as immigration and humanitarian services.
       
      We join Bishop Jaime Soto in solidarity with our United States Catholic Bishops in their goals for us to PRAY — FAST — EDUCATE OURSELVES — and ACT in support of religious freedom.
       STM has scheduled special liturgical, prayer, and social events over the course of the fortnight — and will have more resources available via flockNote and website by Day 1 at www.stmparadise.org 
       This is a Year of Faith! Please attend! Bring someone with you! Family, friends, your ministry or liturgy team, parish organization — whoever! Everyone can use an opportunity for additional prayer!
